Melbourne Metro Tunnel – Rail Systems Alliance
Peracon commenced working with CPB Contractors in 2016 on the Rail Systems Alliance work package of the Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project. Over the five years to 2021 Peracon has had between 3 and 6 employees working for the Rail Systems Alliance on a secondment basis.
The Rail Systems Work Package is the main systems contractor for the Metro Tunnel responsible for the provision of High Capacity Signalling and Operational Control Systems both within the tunnel and adjacent portions of the Sunshine - Dandenong line.
The main roles performed by Peracon have included:
- Technical Lead for Control Systems and Telecommunications during the Tender Process
- Interface Management to other Metro Tunnel work packages
- Systems Engineering including:
- derivation of Requirements
- development of Interface Control Documents
- application of Engineering Standards
- Systems Integration
- Design Co-ordination
