CEO (Senior Principal)

Alan is an Electrical Engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in the design and design management of projects in the power, mining and water industries.

His expertise includes design and design management for Transmission and Distribution networks; industrial power networks, wind farm collector networks and grid connections.

For the past 16 years he has managed design teams working on transmission and distribution substations projects for utilities including CitiPower, Powercor, Ergon Energy, AusNet, Western Power and Horizon Power.

At the beginning of 2024, Alan took on the role of Peracon CEO.

Senior Principal

Evan is a Telecommunications Systems Engineer with over 30 years experience in the design, installation and maintenance of Telecommunications, Intelligent Transport and Information Technology Systems in the Public Transport sector across trains, trams, buses and taxis.

Evan has undertaken projects involving Control Centre Fleet Monitoring and Despatch Systems, Real-time Public Information & Announcement Systems, Video Surveillance, Duress and Security Systems. He also has expertise in the development of business cases and strategic planning for large infrastructure organisations.

From 2014 till the end of 2023 Evan fulfilled the role of Chief Executive Officer, overseeing Peracon’s various engineering based consulting services initially comprising some 50 full-time, casual and contract staff with annual fee revenues of $5M. Evan presided over the company’s growth to over 115 staff and revenue exceeding $20M with the expansion of services delivered through offices in Victoria, West Australia and Queensland. Evan continues to mentor and support the business as part of the Executive Management Team.

Senior Principal

Charlie is an Electrical Design Manager with over 30 years’ experience in Consulting Engineering. For the majority of this period he was an integral part of the senior management team for a multi-national consultancy responsible for establishing a detailed design capability across a multitude of markets. These included Power Transmission and Distribution, Generation, Water, Defence, Aerospace and Telecommunications sectors.

In the past  Charlie has led a Substation Design team of approximately 30 staff undertaking projects for various power utilities across Australia and also performed the Project & Design Management role for a significant number of these projects which included new and upgrade of Primary & Secondary plant up to 132kV.

Charlie is the Operations Manager in Queensland leading electrical and telecommunications teams for utility and mining clients.

Ryan Davey

Senior Principal

Ryan is an Electrical Designer with over 20 years of design experience. He has worked on both Mining & Power Utility (overhead & underground) projects and also has vast experience in the Project Management area.

Ryan is currently the WA Operations Centre Manager based in our Perth office and a Director of the company. The majority of the work is for utility clients, such as Horizon Power and Western Power

Alec Braun

Senior Principal

Alec has over 30 years of experience in the management, specification, delivery, design, development, integration, testing, installation, support and maintenance of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems. He is experienced in strategic planning, business case development, technology reviews, audits, requirements capture and analysis, specification of systems, project management, quality processes, safety systems, risk management and the introduction of new technology.

Allan Athaide

Senior Principal

Allan is a Principal Electrical Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in design and delivery of projects in a wide variety of industries, including utilities, industrial manufacturing, water and wastewater treatment, renewables, petrochemical, pulp and paper, mining and high-volume process industries. He has capabilities in the areas of project governance, project management, HV and LV distribution, PLC and SCADA systems.

Projects include AusNet Services Ballarat Energy Storage System (BESS) and RMIT City Campus HV Upgrade.

Allan is the Victorian Operations Centre Manager, which includes offices in Melbourne, Narre Warren, Morwell and Geelong.

From the beginning of 2024, Allan takes on the role of Peracon COO.
